Thank you for 200 Likes

About three months ago I celebrated 100 likes and now I have 100 more to bring me to a total of 200 very appreciative likes. It took me almost 2 years to reach only 100 likes with limited effort and no plan. Since then, in three months, with goals and a plan I was able to earn 100 likes! Continue reading

How To Defeat Your Worst Enemy

“You’re nothing, and not good enough to accomplish what you’re thinking of doing. Just play it safe and do what you’ve been doing. Nobody will like your new ideas or this change in behavior. Who do you think you are? Do you want people to laugh at you? Trust me, I know you, you wouldn’t like doing that” – You

Look into the mirror and look squarely into your eyes. Take a deep breath and say, “You will not defeat me”. You are your own worst enemy. There is nobody on this planet that you communicate with more than yourself. Don’t worry that doesn’t make you crazy, we all do it. But sometimes we put ourselves down and sometimes we sabotage our own chances at success. Try these few steps to keep your alter ego at bay.  Continue reading

The Moon & I

The moon is one of the biggest motivators in the world.

It turns the dark night into grey. It illuminates the sky.

It’s bright and it shines on you just like the Sun.

This natural Force, makes me aware of life. Forces me to push on.

It enables ideas to bloom in my mind, and I then share the creativity.

The moon is life, the moon is mysterious.

The moon is there to guide you through the darkness.

The moon will listen to all of your struggles, concerns, and problems.

It’s beautiful, it’s wonderful

If the moon is out tonight go outside and appreciate it.

The Past is Not Your Future

We all have events in the past that have shaped who we are now. Some memories more painful than others. Some events more memorable than others. Even though the past has shaped who we are today, we are still in control of what our future will look like tomorrow by focusing on today. So if you’ve had terrible things happen to you, don’t let that hinder you from achieving your goals. Here are a few tips to help you do just that.

Warning this will not be easy. It takes time to really move on from your past if change is what you want in your life.

  1. Let Go of all Your Mistakes.

This takes time but there is a way to let go off all the negative memories of your past. These memories are similar to bad tenants who have been evicted but are refusing to leave. You must take your strongest men and physically remove them from your mind. Write them down on a piece of paper, as if you are pouring them out of your mind. Now tear that paper to shreds and as you dispose of it, mentally, physically, and spiritually let go of those negative thoughts. (Sounds crazy but it works for some)

  2. Focus on Making Today Productive

Focus on tackling as many things on your to-do-list. The more you check off, the more progress you will be making towards your goals. Focusing on the here and now is setting a strong foundation for the future. The title of this blog is, Live Now or Forever Hold Your Peace, to “live now” is to focus on today. Enjoy today, be grateful for another day on this planet where you are the creator of whatever you want. Go and create something wonderful.

  3. Learn From the Past

There are lessons to be learned from your past. You can learn from bad and good moments. Write down the lessons that you have learned from these instances. Having a list of these lessons will help you to move on from your past. When new opportunities arrive, and they will, you will already be equipped with what not to do because of this list. Prepare today for the opportunities that you hope to have in the future by learning from the past.

Try these tips for putting the past where it belongs, the past, and living in the now so that you can truly enjoy the moment and have more control of your future. You already posses everything you need to achieve the things that you want. You just need to develop what you already have.

Losing to Winning Story

I’ve been accumulating many skills in my field for this very moment. But at this very moment I am hanging by a thread and things don’t look good. Picture a fighter with a bruised face, swollen eyes, and blood streaming down his face. This is how I feel right now. I feel like giving up, begging my mind to throw in the towel, but it won’t.

During my lowest moment, I have a flashback. I think back to all the hard work that I’ve put in. I think about all the books and articles I’ve read. The pages of notes I’ve taken, and the hours of exercise that I’ve done. I think about my family and wife who are counting on me to win. My friends, and co-workers who have encouraged me, even if they didn’t know it. I think about my role models who have shown me that anything is possible. I think about all of these things, and then I snap.

Suddenly I’m the fighter who’s caught that second wind. No longer do I feel my opponents blows, but my opponent feels my counter punches. The tables have suddenly turned and I have the edge in this fight. I can hear my family, wife, friends and new friends cheering me on. I did not quit, I was losing but now I’m winning. All of my training and new skills have been triggered and I am a beast. I deliver the knockout punch and the fight is over. I am victorious.

You can be victorious too. Be the underdog of you’re life. When the odds are against you, keep fighting until you win. It’s not over, until you say it’s over.

Live Now or Forever Hold Your Peace!
